Calypso and Odysseus

I'm reading greek mythology (again!), and I came across a story of how the lonely sea nymph Calypso imprisoned Odysseus when his ship capsized on her island, Ogygia. Well, though she treated her boy-toy like a king in the stories, I certainly had another perspective of the poor war hero... how would he have felt trapped in that island for 7 years, away from Ithaca, away from his wife Penelope and his son Telemachus. There's certainly no ice and snow or frozen waterfall and lake in Ogygia as far as I know... but the island was never mapped and there are several theories to it's location. So here's my interpretation.
